You really should read this book if you can.KJHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08869996187809724320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979564949248789104.post-11840085626249740962011-09-04T12:08:50.525-07:002011-09-04T12:08:50.525-07:00Sorry, I meant "retain it the way you did as ...Sorry, I meant "retain it the way you did as a child and teenager."KJHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08869996187809724320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979564949248789104.post-52555487648554312032011-09-04T12:08:49.648-07:002011-09-04T12:08:49.648-07:00Sorry, I meant "retain it the way you did as ...Sorry, I meant "retain it the way you did as a child and teenager."KJHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08869996187809724320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979564949248789104.post-25955023032470331192011-09-04T12:08:05.391-07:002011-09-04T12:08:05.391-07:00Hey Donna! I'm so sorry I didn't catch this comment until now, I didn't even realize there was this function on my blog where I could see all the comments laid out before me. I hope you get this.

I have noticed lately that my memory of recent events isn't quite as potent as it used to be, I have this theory that the more you live, the more difficult it is to retain everything the way it was when you were a child/teenager. The stuff that really stands out are the events/people that you experience FIRST, like first love, first job, etc. That's why the memories of them are so much stronger and why we tend to gravitate to stuff we loved at a younger age.KJHhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08869996187809724320noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8979564949248789104.post-36353893264180289902011-04-04T23:58:26.950-07:002011-04-04T23:58:26.950-07:00Kathryn! (Yes I still read your blog)....this one ...Kathryn! (Yes I still read your blog)....this one I HAD to comment. I've heard of her story and I'm not sure if it were she but a few people and Marilu Henner were on The View a few weeks ago. Marilu seemed to embrace it. I'm sure there are pluses, but like you, I don't think I'd like to recall in detail every hurtful thing. It's bad enough that I remember things like they were yesterday. You and I sound similar...I think we're in between people like this, and average people...who can't believe I remember being a toddler(!) I even have a friend my age who has little to no memory of her childhood. I hear her and others mentioning "we're getting older" but I don't feel like I am...in part b/c so much is intact...my life's memories like a steady stream from O to now. xo DonnaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
